George Blumenthal, candidate for South Carolina House District 104, was the guest speaker at the Monday, February 16, VOICE monthly luncheon. More than seventy women attended the event held at the Surf Golf and Beach Club in North Myrtle Beach.
As VOICE enters its second year of advocacy and information sharing, guests learned what Blumenthal offers South Carolinians: protecting families from losing their homes during times of financial hardship; access to healthcare and equal pay for women; and fair homeowner insurance. He pledges to crack down on elder abuse and financial scams. He also supports responsible legal reform and smart public safety.
Melissa Worber, candidate for North Myrtle Beach City Council, and Davita Foushee, representing the Slyvia Wright Campaign for South Carolina School Superintendent of Education, made brief remarks and shared highlights of their platforms.
The guest speaker at VOICE’s Monday, March 16, luncheon will be John Vincent, candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives District 7. He will work toward common sense over governmental chaos and is a staunch advocate for middle class families.
