The North Myrtle Beach Chiefs varsity baseball team begins region play this week with two games. The Chiefs travelled to Marlboro County on Tuesday for their region opener and then have their first home game scheduled for this Friday at 6:30 p.m. at home against Wilson High School. Decorated golf carts have always been a big part of the North Myrtle Beach Annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. The 32nd Annual North Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival will be on Saturday, March 14, on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach. The parade begins at 9 a.m. and the festival runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The one-day rain or shine event attracts more than 40,000 people annually. The North Myrtle Beach Parks & Recreation Department announces its next Pedal in the Park with a Superhero theme. Bring your bicycles out to the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex on Friday, March 20, at 6:30 p.m. for a leisurely three mile starlit bike ride.
