Lillian Cox “Dot” King of Loris was totally healed and entered heaven on Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019.  She was born on April 16, 1933.  She was the daughter of Wayman and Nora Cox of Tabor City, N.C.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. King was predeceased by her husband, John D. “Buck” King; one brother, J.C. Joseph L. Carter, 74, a commercial real estate agent, developer and conservationist, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2019.  Joe was born at the Brooklyn Naval Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y. on March 1, 1945, to Loyd and Anna (Walsh) Carter.  He grew up in Beech Island and graduated from Aquinas High School in Augusta, Georgia.  He received a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of South Carolina, becoming the first in his family to obtain a college degree.  Having graduated college in the midst of the Vietnam War, Joe enlisted in the United States Air Force on the …

John Oscar Collins of Logs passed away peacefully in his home in Wampee on Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, at the age of 79. John is survived by Randa Roach and lovingly remembered by his eight children, 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three brothers.  He was predeceased by his brother, Robert, and his son, Shawn. Born on April 7, 1922, in Proctorville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harry McKinley and Nella Massie Singer. She was predeceased by her husband, Metro Kalimon. Born on Nov. 29, 1943, in New London, Conn., she was the daughter of  James D.  and Elise Dart Beck. Mrs. Hill  was sweet, very quiet, shy, generous and never met a stranger.
