
Supporters packed the stadium to witness the scrimmage match featuring their beloved team, the Loris Lions. While they posed for photos and smiled, they remained attentive to the game.

The Loris High School Lions varsity team hosted the Myrtle Beach Seahawks at Heniford Field on Thursday, Aug. 7, beginning at 6 p.m. The Lions prevailed with a score of 45 to 28. The scrimmage game scheduled for Monday, Aug. 11, was cancelled due to storms.
The 2025 CNB Kickoff Classic is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 15, at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach with a kickoff game at 6 p.m.
The Kickoff Classic is a preseason event featuring local high school football programs in a series of scrimmages designed to prepare teams and fans for the upcoming season. Tickets for the Kickoff Classic can be purchased at any Conway National Bank branch or at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium on the day of the event.
Although the 35th Annual CNB Kickoff Classic was previously hosted by Coastal Carolina University’s Brooks Stadium in Conway, turf renovations at CCU prompted the move to Myrtle Beach.
Scheduled games begin at 6 p.m. with Green Sea Floyds High School Trojans (1-10 in 2024) against St. James Sharks (0-10 in 2024). The second 20 minute game is Waccamaw Warriors (6-5 in 2024) vs. Conway Tigers (3-7 in 2024). The third game is North Myrtle Beach Chiefs (4-8 in 2024) against Myrtle Beach Seahawks (6-5 in 2024). Game four is Socastee Braves (4-7 in 2024) vs. Aynor Blue Jackets (6-5 in 2024). The Loris High School Lions (11-2 in 2024) take the field last against Carolina Forest Panthers (6-4-1 in 2024).
The first game of the 2025 football season the Lions will travel to Green Sea Floyds for the Bog-Off Bowl on Friday, Aug. 22. Each year they hold the Bog-Off Bowl to take home the trophy that has been placed in both schools for a year each time they won the game. This year the Lions will defend the trophy. The game begins at 7 p.m. at Green Sea Floyds High School football stadium.
