District Champion Loris Recreation 12U team heads to State Tournament

The Loris Recreation 12U basketball All Star team has secured the District Championship title for the second consecutive year. Head coach Kenny Rich and assistant coach John Mishoe take pride in the dedication and collaboration demonstrated by the boys, particularly in their pursuit of becoming champions.

They have progressed to the State 12U Basketball tournament this upcoming weekend, aiming to return with the State Championship to Loris.

Summary of the Lions 12U matchup against Timmonsville 12U Snoop led the Lions 12U All Stars with 11 points and 25 rebounds, guiding them to a victory over Timmonsville with a final score of 38 to 25. After leading 15 to 11, the Lions executed a seven-point run, extending their lead to 20 to 11 by halftime. They dominated the fourth quarter, outscoring Timmonsville. The All Stars excelled in rebounding, amassing a total of 40 rebounds. Kymir contributed with two three-pointers for the Lions. The team demonstrated excellent ball movement, achieving nine assists on 15 successful baskets. Additionally, the Lions recorded four blocked shots during the game. Kymir scored 8 points, Rylan M. added 6 points, Aaiden J. contributed 4 points, Vermahd scored 3 points, P.J. also added 3 points, and Mason W. chipped in with 2 points.
