Otto E. Lewis, 83, of Longs died on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach. Born on June 7, 1935, in Wampee, he was the son of the late Julius Pechay Lewis and Ava Ann Benton Lewis. Donald Inman of Little River passed away on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019, at his home following an extended illness. Born on April 18, 1956, Donald became a master carpenter and a wonderful photographer. While in good health, he enjoyed deep sea fishing and worked on charter boats out of Little River. Donald had a keen sense of humor and loved pulling pranks on unsuspecting loved ones. David E. Graham, 76, of Loris passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2019, at Conway Manor. Mr. Graham was born in Horry County, a son of the late A. E. and Begonia M. Graham. The North Myrtle Beach High School Chiefs wrestling team won 10 of 13 matches on Wednesday evening to vault themselves into the championship this Saturday. The Chiefs beat an excellent Airport High School team to earn the right to play Eastside High School, last year’s champions. The Loris City Council met on Monday, Feb. 4, at 6 p.m. at the American Legion Hall. Todd Harrelson, council member and mayor-pro tem, called the meeting to order asking Joan Gause to provide the invocation and the pledge of allegiance was recited by all. Crossway Church held its annual Critter Cooking dinner on Saturday, Feb. 4. The line was out the door at this event with more than 300 guests who came to taste the foods of the land. The menu consisted of turkey burgers, sausage, hash, lasagna, chili, beaver stew and wontons, wild turkey Brunswick stew, catfish, squirrel, rabbit and more. In previous years they have had alligator, quail and crab. This year no one had these to share. As the region’s regular season champion, the Chiefs earned a first round bye and waited for the winner of the first team competition between Midland Valley and Hilton Head High School.
