LHS hosts Alumni Ball during the Homecoming weekend

Jack Thompson celebrates 75 years of photography

Friends of Jack Thompson gather together every year to celebrate his birthday. This year, Jack celebrated his 89th birthday alongside celebrating 75 years of his chronicling of Myrtle Beach’s history through the art of his photography. Barefoot Landing kicks off autumn with SeptemberFest

Hay decorations made by Thompson Farms give Dockside Village an autumn decor. Public hearings scheduled for SC-31 extension

The S.C. Department of Transportation (SCDOT) and N.C. Department of Transportation (NCDOT) will hold two public meetings for the proposed Carolina Bays Parkway (SC 31) Extension project. The project, which is part of RIDE 3, would extend Carolina Bays Parkway (SC 31) from its current location at SC 9 in Horry County, across the North Carolina state line to U.S. 17 in Brunswick County, North Carolina, near Shallotte. The proposed improvement is a multi-lane full access freeway partially on a new location.
