Last Saturday afternoon before the NFL games got underway for the weekend, I dropped by to watch the Coastal Chairmen wheelchair basketball team take on the Port City Spokesmen from Wilmington, N.C., another team in the Carolina Wheelchair Basketball Conference.

The North Myrtle Beach varsity basketball teams ended 2022 with wins, closing out the non-region portion of their season as they prepare for action against 6AAAA teams.

Earlier in the year, in July 2022, Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded to a Little River area two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle, with serious injuries to the driver.

While most of us spent last week doing some last minute Christmas shopping or baking cookies, the boys and girls basketball teams from North Myrtle Beach High School were playing in Christmas tournaments.
