The Chiefs opened that tournament with three more wins before losing to Oceanside Collegiate Academy. By John Smithson The North Myrtle Beach cross country teams held a home meet last Wednesday at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex and the Lady Chiefs won. The girls finished first with 23 points. Socastee was second with 45 points and Myrtle Beach took third with 64 points. The Lady Chiefs had four of the first six runners cross the finish line with Fenna Hollo, the number one finisher. The Chiefs opened the week with a 3-0 win over Myrtle Beach (25-14, 25-18, 25-19). The Chiefs were home again on Thursday night for a senior night contest with Conway. The Chiefs got off to a good start in the match with a win in the first set. However, Conway came back and won the next three sets for the match win. This tall tree is found near Hill Street and Amaron Court in the Cherry Grove section of North Myrtle Beach. As autumn arrives, it will show its fall golden leaves. Pig Nut Hickories are native to the southeastern United States. They produce bitter nuts that are good for wildlife. Their strong wood is valued for fuel, tool handles, sporting goods equipment and agricultural implements.
